  • The first time I heard I was struck by great, great, great music. Basically, it's just guitars and voices singing about you know what from the title.I just can't explain why I like, well I do, my favorite movie is Goodfellas (1990). I have a copy from an original a colleague from work lent to me. Same colleague lent me the follow up, http://www.discogs.com/La-Musica-Della-Mafia-VolII-Omert%C3%A0-Onuri-E-Sangu/release/2091382Which "got stuck" on my collection.My favorite songs are U Lupu D'Asprumunti ((The Wolves of Aspromonte) and Tarantella Guappa. The latter sounds like a song you'd sing with your family on a summer afternoon with everyone jumping from happinnes but the lyrics are very aggressive on this one. A must listen.The booklet has the lyrics written in the original language with translation in english and other languages such as french.
